Description
Core Gameplay
Tint Path is a narrative-driven colour connection game. Each puzzle represents a ‘journey’ between two colour dots, and you must draw a path that collects ‘checkpoints’ (smaller dots of intermediate colours) in a specific order. After completing a set of puzzles, you unlock a short, descriptive text about the ‘region’ you have travelled through. The core mechanic remains non-crossing path drawing.
Level & Content Design
This product contains 280 puzzles, organised into 14 ‘journey maps’ (20 puzzles per map). Each map has a theme (e.g., forest, desert, ocean). Difficulty increases per map. All puzzles require connecting colour pairs without crossing, with checkpoint order constraints. No procedural generation. No updates beyond the initial 280 puzzles.
Visuals & Experience
A storybook illustration style – watercolour backgrounds, hand-drawn grid lines, paths as ink strokes. The narrative text appears in a subtle panel after each map completion. Animations are soft and unhurried. The interface includes a map selector showing progress. No sound effects by default (optional ambient music not included to keep file size low).
Key Features
A ‘journal’ records your completed puzzles and the flavour text. Unlimited undo. A gentle hint system suggests the next checkpoint colour. No timers, no scores. All features offline.
User Value
Tint Path adds a light narrative reward to logical puzzle solving, which can increase motivation for some players. It encourages steady progress and provides a sense of journey. Suitable for players who enjoy both puzzles and low-key storytelling.
Usage Scenarios
Ideal for a quiet evening at home, before bedtime, or as a wind-down activity after a busy day. The story elements add a calming, immersive layer.
