Description
Core Gameplay
Spectrum Turn uses hexagonal tiles. Each tile contains coloured line segments. You rotate tiles to form continuous connections between colour dots located on the board’s perimeter. The goal is to rotate all tiles so that each perimeter colour dot is connected to its matching partner via an unbroken path. This creates a network across the entire board.
Level & Content Design
The game includes 200 puzzles, all on hexagonal grids. Grid sizes range from 3×3 hexes to 7×7 hexes. Some puzzles have interior colour dots as well as perimeter dots. Difficulty increases by the number of colour pairs and the presence of ‘double-rotation’ tiles (requiring specific alignment). No auto-updates – static product.
Visuals & Experience
A honeycomb aesthetic – warm gold and amber tones, hex tiles with subtle bevels. Rotating a tile produces a soft ‘click’. The interface includes a zoom for larger grids. Paths glow when correctly connected. The design is calm and organic.
Key Features
A ‘solver assistant’ highlights tiles that are correctly oriented (optional visual aid). Unlimited undo. A hint system suggests a tile that is currently misaligned. No timers, no online elements. Local save only.
User Value
Spectrum Turn develops geometric reasoning on non-rectangular grids. The hexagonal layout feels fresh and less rigid than squares. It appeals to players who enjoy puzzles with a natural, organic feel.
Usage Scenarios
Perfect for a relaxing evening, during a long flight (offline), or as a thoughtful activity while listening to ambient music.
