Description
Core Gameplay
Colour Loop presents a circular or radial grid. Colour dots are placed around the circumference or at radial points. You must connect each colour pair using arcs or radial lines that do not intersect. The board is circular, and paths can follow concentric rings or radii. This geometry differs from rectangular grids, offering fresh spatial challenges.
Level & Content Design
The game includes 270 puzzles across 9 orbital zones. Each zone introduces a new circular pattern (e.g., 3 rings with 8 sectors, 4 rings with 12 sectors). Difficulty increases by adding more colour pairs and introducing ‘spoke blockers’. All puzzles are hand-crafted. No automatic updates – the product is complete.
Visuals & Experience
A cosmic theme – dark space background, glowing coloured dots as stars, paths as luminous trails. The interface allows rotation of the circle for easier drawing. Smooth zoom and pan. Animations are subtle – completed paths twinkle briefly. The UI is minimalist, with controls along the bottom edge.
Key Features
A ‘symmetry helper’ optionally mirrors your moves for puzzle variants with rotational symmetry. Unlimited undo/redo. A hint system highlights two dots that can be connected without crossing existing paths. No online elements or data collection.
User Value
Colour Loop trains non-rectangular spatial reasoning, which is less common in typical puzzle games. It provides a refreshing change from grid-based puzzles. The circular layout feels more organic and less ‘mathematical’ to some players.
Usage Scenarios
Perfect for short play sessions on a tablet during a commute, or as a relaxing diversion while listening to music. The dark theme suits evening play.
