Description

Core Gameplay
Tint Turn introduces rotatable tiles. The board is composed of square tiles, each containing a short segment of coloured path. You can rotate each tile (in 90-degree increments) to create continuous paths between colour dots. The goal is to rotate all tiles so that every colour pair becomes connected without any broken or dead-end segments. This is a tile-rotation puzzle combined with colour connection.

Level & Content Design
The game includes 225 puzzles across 7 ‘workshop’ levels. Early puzzles use a 3×3 tile grid with 2 colour pairs; advanced puzzles use 6×6 grids with 6 colour pairs and ‘locked’ tiles that cannot be rotated. Difficulty progresses by increasing tile count and path complexity. All puzzles are static. No auto-updates.

Visuals & Experience
A mechanical workshop theme – tiles resemble engraved metal plates, rotation has a gear-like sound (mutable). You can rotate a tile by clicking or tapping it. A ‘preview’ mode shows the current network of paths. The interface is clean, with large, touch-friendly buttons.

Key Features
A ‘highlight disconnected’ option colours incomplete paths in a muted tone. Unlimited undo/redo. A hint system suggests a tile that, if rotated correctly, would extend a path. No timers or scores. Offline functionality is complete.

User Value
Tint Turn develops mental rotation skills and holistic thinking (seeing how each tile affects the whole). The tile-rotation mechanic is intuitive yet challenging, appealing to players who enjoy hands-on puzzles.

Usage Scenarios
Ideal for a train journey, during a lunch break, or as a collaborative puzzle (pass-and-play) at a café. The mechanical theme suits tinkerers and engineering-minded players.
