Description
Core Gameplay
Chroma Path introduces movable obstacles. You connect colour pairs as usual, but the board contains blocks that can be shifted horizontally or vertically (one cell per move) to clear a path. The core objective remains linking all colour pairs without intersecting lines, but you may rearrange obstacles before drawing. This adds a spatial puzzle layer on top of the connection mechanic.
Level & Content Design
The game features 290 puzzles, divided into 4 ‘seasons’ of increasing complexity. Each season introduces a new obstacle type (e.g., rotating gates, one-way slides, teleporters). Puzzle sizes average 7×7. No recurring content updates are promised beyond the initial 290, but the seller may offer additional expansions as separate products – no automatic updates implied.
Visuals & Experience
Cartoonish, friendly art style with bright colours and playful animations (obstacles wiggle when selected). Drawing paths is assisted by snap-to-grid and preview lines. Sound effects are optional and non-intrusive. The UI includes large buttons suitable for touch.
Key Features
A ‘reset obstacle positions’ button restores the board to its starting layout. The hint system shows which colour pair can currently be connected without moving obstacles. You may view a solution replay after solving. No user accounts or data sharing are implemented.
User Value
Chroma Path improves problem-solving under constraints and teaches incremental planning. The obstacle-moving mechanic feels like tidying a cluttered space – satisfying and stress-relieving. It appeals to players who enjoy physics-based puzzles but prefer turn-based logic.
Usage Scenarios
Great for killing time during a delayed flight, as a distraction during a phone call hold, or as a quick mental game before a meeting.
