Description

Core Gameplay
Chroma Knot presents puzzles where colour pairs are initially connected with tangled, overlapping lines. Your job is to ‘untangle’ the knot by rerouting paths – moving segments step by step – until all lines are non-intersecting and each colour pair remains connected. This is a rearrangement puzzle rather than drawing from scratch. The goal is to achieve a crossing-free layout.

Level & Content Design
This product offers 200 puzzles, each starting with a pre-drawn tangled configuration. You may drag path segments to new cells; the puzzle is solved when no intersections remain and all pairs are linked. Difficulty increases by the number of colour pairs (up to 8) and board size (up to 10×10). No updates are provided after purchase.

Visuals & Experience
A rope-and-thread visual theme – paths resemble coloured cords, and intersections are highlighted in red until resolved. Dragging a segment feels tactile, with a gentle ‘snap’ when repositioning. The background is a woven fabric texture. Animations are smooth and responsive.

Key Features
An ‘auto-tangle’ button resets the puzzle to its original state. A ‘crossing counter’ shows how many intersections remain. Unlimited undo/redo. The hint system suggests a path segment that can be moved to reduce crossings. No online functions exist.

User Value
Chroma Knot trains problem-solving through incremental improvement rather than blank-slate creation. It encourages a ‘reduce errors’ mindset, which is valuable for debugging and analytical tasks. The untangling process is deeply satisfying.

Usage Scenarios
Great for a contemplative break, during a commute with headphones, or as a low-stress activity before sleep. It works well on both tablet and desktop.
